Getting Started
How do I create my first household? After signing up, you'll be prompted to create your first household. Give it a name and add family members. You can add parents, guardians, and children. Each member will get their own wallet.
How do I set up jobs and activities?Go to the Rules page and use the tabs to create Jobs (activities that earn money) and Spend Categories (activities that cost money). You can also set up Rate Cards to convert activities like screen time into currency.
How do I log activities?Use the activity input on the Home page. Simply type what happened in plain English, like "John did laundry" or "Sarah watched 30 minutes of TV". Our AI will match it to your rules and update balances automatically.
Managing Your Household
How do I add or remove family members?Go to Settings and select your household. You can add new members by entering their email address. To remove a member, go to their profile page and use the remove option.
Can I change someone's balance manually?Yes! Go to the member's detail page and click "Change Amount". You can add or remove money and add a note explaining why (e.g., "Birthday bonus" or "Manual adjustment").
How do streak bonuses work? When creating or editing a job, you can enable streak bonuses. Set a frequency (daily or weekly) and a multiplier. The bonus is calculated as: base pay × streak length × multiplier. For example, a $20 job with a 3-day streak and 0.5 multiplier = $20 + ($20 × 3 × 0.5) = $50 total.
Understanding Limits and Restrictions
How do daily and weekly limits work? You can set daily and weekly spending limits for spend categories. When a member exceeds the daily limit, you can apply a multiplier (fine) to the cost. Limits reset automatically at the start of each day or week.
What happens if someone tries to spend more than their limit? If a daily limit is exceeded and you've set a multiplier, the cost will be multiplied by that amount. For example, if screen time costs $1 per 5 minutes and the daily limit is exceeded with a 2x multiplier, it will cost $2 per 5 minutes.
Troubleshooting
Why isn't my activity being recognized?Make sure you've created the corresponding job or spend category with a matching name. The AI tries to match your input to existing rules, but exact matches work best. You can also check the preview before confirming to see what the system understood.
How do I recalculate activity limits?Go to a member's detail page and click "Recalculate Balances". This will update their daily/weekly spending totals and next available dates based on recent transactions.
